How to get there
The house is a 20 minute drive from Faro airport and therefore we suggest car hire as being essential as the property is situated in a rural area. We provide full directions from the airport to the house.

Distances
The house is 3km from the centre of Pechao Village and 3.5km from the centre of the fishing port of Olhao. It is approx. 7km to the historic centre of Faro. Many championship golf courses are within 30 mins drive and special rates are available for occupants of the house. The City of Faro is only 15 mins drive with it's old town with beautiful cobbled walkways and modern shopping mals. The Poussada of Estoi Palace and its Roman Ruins are approx 4.5km away.

Further Details
The house is within walking distance of Quinta dos Poetas, a 'rustic' hotel, with restaurant serving traditional Portuguese specialities and a 9 hole golf course. It is only 15 mins to 'Forum Algarve' a large shopping complex with cinemas, restaurants and boutiques. Approx 30 minutes drive to Water Parks and busy tourist resorts and attractions such as Zoo Marine. The Ria Formosa is a fantastic area to explore with beautiful views and wildlife. Boat trips are available from Olhao or why not hire a canoe and find a beautiful sandy beach to relax and enjoy. The Sunday gypsy markets are fantastic for treating yourself to handbags, textiles, jewellery and clothing, the information book in the house will advise dates and any other information to make your stay as comfortable as possible.

Things to do locally: 
Fishing, go-carting, water world (40 minutes drive), golf, cycling, surf boarding, see the dolphins at Zoo Marine, visit historical sites, street markets, boutique shopping, lovely beaches, (great for picnics), catch the local ferry to various islands for the day. All these activities & more, including a variety of restaurants and bars are available within 10 to 15 drive from the villa. Pamphlets with information & directions are available at the villa.
